Terms and Conditions of Use — Aski

By downloading, installing or using Aski (the "Application"), you accept these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the Application.

1. Service description

Aski lets you query your ERP system —Odoo, SAP S/4HANA or SAP Business One— using natural language, from three surfaces: the Android application, the web application (app.aski.dev) and the Odoo module you can install on your own instance. These Terms apply equally to all three, and where they say "the Application" they cover any of them. Where they mention "Odoo", the same applies to your SAP connection. The service is offered on a monthly subscription basis with different plans (Basic, Pro, Enterprise for Odoo; Business One and S/4HANA for SAP) and additional credit packs.

2. User account

To use Aski you must create an account by providing a valid email address and a password. You are responsible for:

Aski reserves the right to suspend or delete accounts that violate these Terms or that we detect as fraudulent, automated or with malicious intent.

The account holder may add other people as seats on their account. Those people use the service under the same subscription and spend from the same credit pool; the holder sets each one's cap, is responsible for the use they make of it and may take the seat back at any time.

3. Acceptable use

By using Aski you agree to:

Aski monitors usage patterns to detect abuse. Attempts at SQL injection, prompt injection or unauthorized access to data are recorded in audit logs and may result in immediate suspension of the account.

3.1 Public answer links

The Application lets you generate a public link to one specific answer. By creating it, you are the one deciding to publish that information: anyone who receives the address will be able to read it without needing an account. You are solely responsible for whom you hand the link to, and for ensuring that what you share does not breach confidentiality obligations, contracts, data protection rules or third-party rights that bind you.

Every link expires automatically within the maximum period your plan allows, and you can turn it off at any time from the Application. Turning it off blocks new openings immediately, but it cannot recover what someone has already seen, copied or forwarded.

Aski may turn off a link without prior notice if it detects abuse, automated traffic or content that breaches these Terms.

3.2 Sending responses and reports by email

The Application lets you email a response —with its spreadsheet attached— and schedule recurring reports to a list of recipients you define. Those recipients may not be Aski users and are outside our control: by adding an address you declare that you are authorised to send that information to it. You are solely responsible for the list, for keeping it up to date, and for ensuring the content sent does not breach any confidentiality obligation or data protection rules binding on you. An email already delivered cannot be withdrawn.

3.3 Personal access tokens

You can generate tokens that allow the service to be used from outside the Application. A token is equivalent to your credential: whoever holds it acts as you, with your plan and your credits. You must keep it like a password, never embed it in published code, and revoke it from the Application as soon as you suspect it has been exposed. Usage generated by a token counts against your account for all purposes.

4. Subscriptions and credits

4.1 Plans

Subscription plans are billed on a recurring basis —monthly or annually— depending on the chosen plan. The lineup comprises Basic, Pro, Enterprise and Enterprise Plus; the SAP Business One and SAP S/4HANA plans for SAP instances; and the Dedicated plans (Odoo and SAP), whose scope and price are agreed individually before signing up. In the Android app, billing is handled via Google Play Billing; on the web (app.aski.dev) via Lemon Squeezy, which acts as our Merchant of Record. Each plan includes an estimated number of queries based on average consumption. Actual consumption depends on the complexity of each query and on the size of your own instance: an ERP with more modules, tables and custom fields requires more processing per query than a simple one, and therefore consumes more credits. On very large instances that difference is significant and the number of included queries can be considerably lower than estimated; for those cases the right plan is Dedicated, which is sized and quoted against your actual instance.

4.2 Credits

If your plan runs out before the end of the period, you can purchase additional credit packs. Credits purchased as packs (burst packs) are valid for 12 months from purchase; credits granted as part of your subscription renew at the start of each period and do not carry over upon renewal.

4.3 Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription at any time: in-app purchases from your Google Play account; web purchases from the management link on your Lemon Squeezy receipt or by contacting us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period and, as a general rule, there are no partial refunds for unused days. Full refund terms and their exceptions are detailed in our Refund Policy.

4.4 Price changes

We reserve the right to modify the prices of plans and packs with at least 30 days' prior notice. Price changes apply to future renewals, not to periods already paid for.

4.5 Taxes

Prices published on the site and in the app are stated in US dollars (USD). Depending on your country of residence, digital services taxes (VAT, GST or sales tax) may be added at checkout.

For web purchases, Lemon Squeezy acts as the Merchant of Record: Lemon Squeezy determines, collects and remits to the relevant authority any tax applicable to your location, and issues the receipt. The exact total, including any applicable taxes, is shown on the payment screen before you confirm the purchase; no additional charges on this account are made after confirmation. If you are buying on behalf of a business, you can enter your tax identification number (VAT ID, EIN, RUC, NIT or equivalent) on that same screen: in several jurisdictions this means no tax is charged. Purchases made inside the Android app are subject to Google Play's tax treatment.

Regardless of the above, some countries require your card issuer to withhold the local tax on digital services purchased abroad. That withholding is applied by your bank, appears on your bank statement, and is not part of the amount charged by Aski or by Lemon Squeezy.

Taxes levied on your own activity —income tax, reporting obligations or withholding on foreign suppliers under your local law— are your sole responsibility.

4.6 Scheduled alerts

You can schedule alerts that Aski delivers without you being present: a daily summary, the end-of-day close, watchers that notify you when a figure crosses the threshold you set, reminders and reports by email. To deliver them, Aski queries your ERP at the time you chose and each delivery consumes credits from your plan.

How many alerts you can keep active depends on your plan and is shown in the Application; the daily summary does not count towards that limit. An alert is paused automatically if you run out of credits, if your plan stops including them, or if it repeatedly fails to query your ERP, and we let you know when that happens.

Scheduled alerts are not a critical alerting system. They depend on your ERP being available and on third-party services for notification and email, so we do not guarantee their delivery or their punctuality. You must not rely on them as the only control over matters that cannot tolerate delay.

4.7 WhatsApp channel

The WhatsApp channel is an optional add-on. These terms apply to you only if you purchase it.

It is a paid add-on separate from your plan, at US$19.99 a month or US$199.99 a year, and it lets you ask your ERP from WhatsApp and receive your alerts right there. How many numbers you can connect depends on your plan and is shown in the Application. It is cancelled like any other subscription (section 4.3) and, once cancelled, the channel stops working at the end of the period already paid for.

The answers you receive through the channel consume credits from your plan, exactly as if you asked from the application. The messaging that delivers them is provided by Meta, and outside the 24 hours following your last message you can only be written to with templates approved by Meta in advance.

The channel is not a critical alerting system, for the same reason as scheduled alerts: delivery depends on your ERP, on your carrier and on Meta's infrastructure, so we guarantee neither delivery nor punctuality.

If your account is managed by a reseller partner, the partner activates and pays for the channel, and it is the partner who sets what they charge you for their service.

5. ERP compatibility

5.1 Odoo

Aski is compatible with Odoo versions 14 to 19 (Community, Enterprise, OCA and Odoo.sh). You are responsible for:

Aski does not guarantee compatibility with third-party custom modules that modify Odoo's standard schema. In those cases, some queries may not work correctly.

5.2 SAP (S/4HANA and Business One)

Aski is compatible with SAP S/4HANA and SAP Business One, connecting through their standard APIs (OData / Service Layer). You are responsible for:

Aski discovers your instance live and understands custom fields (Business One UDFs, S/4HANA «YY1_» key-user extensions). It does not guarantee compatibility with configurations or extensions that alter the APIs in a non-standard way; in those cases, some queries may not work correctly. As with Odoo, Aski operates in read-only mode by default; the actions with confirmation in section 6.1 can only reach SAP Business One, never S/4HANA.

5.3 ERP not reachable from the internet (tunnel connection)

If your ERP lives inside your network and has no public address, we offer a tunnel connection that replaces the internet-accessibility requirement in sections 5.1 and 5.2. In that mode you are responsible for installing the private-network node on a machine in your network and for keeping it powered on and connected. The availability of the connection depends on that: if the machine is shut down or loses its network, Aski stops reaching your ERP, and that interruption is not attributable to us. You can cut off access at any time by shutting the node down or disabling the service user in your own ERP, without having to ask us. This mode must be enabled on your account and is marked connection by connection: connections published on the internet keep working the same way.

6. Nature of the responses

Aski uses artificial intelligence models (Anthropic Claude) to translate your questions into XML-RPC queries against your Odoo and then narrate the response. Although we make efforts to ensure accuracy:

6.1 Actions with confirmation on your ERP

Beyond answering questions, Aski can execute a limited set of operations on your ERP. This capability is not generally active: it requires explicit activation and is available only on the Enterprise Plus plan, the SAP plans and the Dedicated plans, and only on Odoo and SAP Business One (never on SAP S/4HANA).

It is not free-form writing. The system only knows how to execute a closed catalogue of ten operations —sending a payment reminder or sending it to the customers on a list; creating a follow-up activity, marking it done or rescheduling it; approving a document or rejecting it; changing the owner of a record; and marking an opportunity won or lost—, always on a specific record. On SAP Business One the catalogue narrows to two: the payment reminder and the follow-up activity. The artificial intelligence model does not compose the operation: it proposes which one applies, and the server checks whether your account is entitled and whether the record is valid.

Before executing, Aski shows you what it is going to do, on which record and —if something is sent— to which exact recipient. Nothing is executed without your explicit confirmation, and the proposal expires after 15 minutes. Each execution consumes credits from your plan and is logged with who requested it, what was done and on which record, so that you can audit it.

Outside that catalogue, if you choose to receive a scheduled alert in the inbox of your own Odoo, each delivery creates a notification message there addressed to you. It is the only other write Aski issues against your ERP, you switch it on by picking that channel, and it touches no business record.

You accept that responsibility for the executed operation is yours: by confirming it you are acting on your own ERP with the permissions of the user you configured. Aski does not roll back operations that have already been executed; to undo them you must use your ERP. Your ERP's access and record rules remain in charge, and an operation outside that catalogue is cut off before touching your data.

7. Third-party independence

Aski is not affiliated with, associated with, authorized by or endorsed by Odoo S.A., SAP SE, OCA, Anthropic PBC, Google LLC, Railway Corp. or any other entity. Mentions of these brands are solely to describe technical interoperability. Odoo® is a registered trademark of Odoo S.A.; SAP®, SAP S/4HANA® and SAP Business One® are registered trademarks of SAP SE. They are used in a strictly descriptive manner.

8. Limitation of liability

Aski is provided "as is", without explicit or implied warranties. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Jhon Jairo Rojas Ortiz shall not be liable for:

The total accumulated liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you have paid to Aski in the 12 months prior to the claim.

9. Privacy

The processing of your personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms.

10. Intellectual property

All intellectual property rights in Aski (source code, design, brand, website content) belong to Jhon Jairo Rojas Ortiz. Use of the Application under these Terms does not grant you any rights over the intellectual property beyond the authorized personal/business use.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes in the service, in applicable law or in our practices. When we make material changes, we will notify you through a notice within the app at least 30 days before they take effect. If you continue using Aski after the effective date, you accept the new Terms.

12. Termination

You may stop using Aski at any time by deleting your account from Settings → "Delete my account". Aski may terminate or suspend your access if you violate these Terms. Clauses that by their nature must survive termination (intellectual property, limitation of liability, governing law) will remain in effect.

13. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Peru. Any dispute arising from the use of Aski will be resolved before the competent courts of Lima, Peru, without prejudice to the consumer protection rights that applicable law grants to users in other jurisdictions.
